1 Down 2 to Go

Taylor's mural is near completion. I still have some more butterflies to add, and possibly a few flowers within the grass area, but for the most part it is done.

This is a zoomed in picture of the description on the main tower of the castle. Tay always wants me to add flowers or hearts wherever possible, so I even incorporated them into the name of her castle.

Here is a zoomed in picture of one of the butterflies within the clouds.

Next up is Kinnick's mural, which will include Bob the Builder and several "diggers". I have began drawing this a couple of weeks ago but haven't had a chance to add to it since.

What's to Come

Well, I have several murals on the To Do list for 2009. This includes all three of our kid's rooms as well as a mural for our good friends Bill and Katie Iverson, and their future son Lucas. Requests are as follows:
  • Taylor - Princess-type castle, a rainbow, and flowers
  • Kinnick - Bob the Builder and "Diggers"
  • Carver - Thomas the Train and Friends
  • Lucas - Star Wars

I am almost done with Taylor's and will soon post some pictures. I have begun to start drawing Kinnick's and plan to start at the Iverson's very soon, since the baby will be here soon!

Past Murals

As some of you may know, I was lucky enought to be gifted with the ability to paint, draw, etc. In addition, I love to do so.

My favorite thing to do is paint murals in rooms, in particular for my children. At our house on Briar Drive, I started this tradition by painting Taylor's room (then a newborn) with a Winnie the Pooh mural.
I enjoyed painting Taylor's room so much I wanted to paint a mural for the boys as well once they were born. Due to the fact that they had an extended stay in the hospital (7 weeks), I was able to get this done. We decided to go with Dr. Seuss for the theme of the room and I schemed up the following:
The other wall also had Dr. Seuss characters included Green Eggs and Ham, Horton, and 1 Fish 2 Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, but I have yet to find my picture of this wall.
